About David Killeen
David Killeen is a documentary and fine art photographer based in Dublin, Ireland. He has exhibited across Ireland, Britain, the U.S. and South America. His interest of subject matter and style is that of documentary photography, the effects of time and history effects on objects place and people.
He began studying fine art in the Crawford College of Art and design in Cork (2008) and later attending Goldsmiths University to do a Masters in photography and urban cultures (2009).
His series ‘To You I Follow’ has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, most notably at the Royal geographic Society in London (2012). His work has been published numerous times, most recently Killeen was principal photographer for the book ‘Walls of Containment’ published in 2021 by UCD press – historical architectural series documenting the former psychiatric facilities in the Republic of Ireland. published in 2021 by UCD press – historical architectural series documenting the former psychiatric facilities in the Republic of Ireland.

This was in recognition of receiving the highest mark awarded to a student in their end of year assessment on visual imagery.
